Ab principio ad profunditatem－深潭－ was born from the initiative of Kobayashi of CHARLOTTE THE HARLOT, who extended a proposal for a split release to Ur Il Èmdr ŒRVN, known for his contributions to ANGUIS DEI and AVSOLUTIZED..., etc., after years of mutual artistic inspiration. Ur, having recently forged the collaborative entity ANDROALPHUS with Spektor, renowned for his work with ACOD, MORTIFERA, and BEYOND THE PERMAFROST, etc., proceeded with the creation of their compositions, marking this release as their inaugural offering in response to Kobayashi's request. While both bands are rooted in Black Metal, their musical explorations have diverged into distinct realms.
