Embracing Hatred and Beckoning Darkness was recorded in hunger and madness across Winter 2018-2019 after being written over the previous years. Due to curses and plagues, the release was delayed. Despite this, the self-titled EP was recorded the following summer. Because of these difficulties, the 7" physical release appeared before the full-length album. This explains a slightly more progressive sound on the EP tracks. Sulpur stands against modern black metal obsessed with image and "socializing." Our cult yearns for the old days of enigma and obscurity: a total fuck-off to nowadays black metal. This is a true work of occultism and worship of the mysteries. Co-operation with Blackest Records.
